Who is Julie? I'm an award-winning eLearning Instructional Developer and Designer. I am focused on the learner experience of training. To me, this means using every avenue to emotionally engage the student in the subject. I thoroughly believe each topic needs to be treated thoughtfully with the correct modality in order to have the highest possible engagement by the learner. I have worked in various industries throughout my career. My career in training development started in mortgage lending, followed by healthcare, then military, finance, advertising, telecommunications, sales, self-driving vehicles, BI space, cloud storage, and most recently marketing promotional materials. I have a Master of Science in Instructional Technology with a focus on distance education for the visually disabled. I carry that focus with me in every project. In the United States of America, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was amended to include Section 508 in 1998. This put eLearning in the limelight to be available to all with disabilities physical and neurological. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area of California my entire life. I spend my spare time reading multiple books at once and enjoy taking 30-mile bike rides on the weekend. |
